How that act brings his life into various situations forms the rest of the tale.

Analysis:

Coming up with a comedy film is one thing and packing it with entertainment masala is another thing. Here, more than coming up with a sensible plot or logical storyline the challenge is to pack the two hours plus with sensible comedy and humor that the audience can connect to. Rajkumar Santoshi is a veteran in that job and he has succeeded to a decent extent. The dialogues were well written. The script didn’t have anything great but the screenplay managed to keep the plot intact. Background score and songs were enjoyable enough but cinematography played a key role in bringing that visual appeal. Editing could have been crisp during the second half. Costumes were apt to the nativity factor and the art department was colorful. In performance front, Shahid Kapoor ruled the roost with his versatility and varied performance. This was a good platform for Ileana also as she wowed with her glamour and oomph factor with grace. Padmini Kolhapure has not lost that spark. Saurabh Shukla was superb. Darshan Jariwala was excellent. Naveen Prabhakar contributed well. Salman Khan was brief but made an impact. Nargis Fakhri was mindblowingly sexy. Overall, the film works well in parts in terms of giving those needed laughs and it can do a good business at the box office. - indiabells
